About

The third annual Race for Open Space will be held on June 4, 2011. All proceeds will benefit the land preservation efforts of the Western Virginia Land Trust. Check back in the spring of 2011 for more details.

Eco-Shirt
Registration includes an official 100% organic cotton race t-shirt with water-based inks--the most eco-friendly race shirt around! Regular, "discount" t-shirts are made from environmentally-damaging cotton grown with up to a third of a pound of petroleum-based pesticides and fertilizers per shirt, and printed with hazardous PVC-based inks. Click the green shirt to learn more about our eco-shirt, or learn more about environmentally friendly organic cotton. You can also learn about the health and environmental hazards of PVC.

Rules
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and to the top three elementary and middle school teams. Please, no strollers or dogs.
